Apara Ekādaśī

Once Mahārāja Yudhiṣṭhira said, 'Oh Lord Kṛṣṇa, Oh Vāsudeva, please accept my humble obeisance's. Please describe to me the Ekādaśī that occurs during Kṛṣṇa pakṣa of the month of Jyeṣṭhā(May-June). Please narrate to me everything like its name, importance etc. about this Ekādaśī.

Kṛṣṇa Puṣyā abhiṣeka


The Hari Bhakti Vilāsa says that on this day one should rub ghee on the deity of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Puṣyā of course means nourishing, and this act of devotion, with ghee, which is very nourishing is equivalent to the results of an Aśvamedha-yajña.

Who is Śrīla Prabhupāda?

In the last ten years of his life, in spite of his advanced age, Śrīla Prabhupāda circled the globe twelve times on lecture tours that have took him to six continents. In spite of such a vigorous schedule, Śrīla Prabhupāda continued to write prolifically. His writings constitute a veritable library of Vedic philosophy, religion, literature and culture.
